About Us
On October 12, 1975, Pattaya Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture between Saha Pathana Inter-Holding (SPI), Thai Wacoal Public Co., Ltd., and IDF Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of one million baht. The company initially had 32 employees and operated in Building 2 of Thai Wacoal Public Co., Ltd., located on Sathu Pradit Road, Bang Kho Laem, a khwaeng (subdistrict) of Bang Kho Laem District. Its business was to manufacture futon blankets and BON underwear.
With a commitment to creating pride for women who wear quality, standard products, the company launched the “Kullastri” lingerie line in 1977.
The Journey of Growth to the Global Market
The year 1978 saw the company undergoing major changes to cope with market expansion activities. The company moved to its present address of No. 611/28, Soi Wat Chan Nai, off Sathupradith Road, to accommodate expanding manufacturing capacity, in order to better serve increasing customer’s demand, and at the same time, support its penetration into overseas markets, by first exporting its childrenwear and jackets to Switzerland, later expanded to cover other markets in Europe, the U.S., and Japan, respectively.
Under a management approach that prioritizes customer satisfaction and sustainable growth, the company has focused on expanding its production and driving development without limits. In 1992, it extended its manufacturing capacity through the establishment of a subsidiary, Pattaya Lamphun Co., Ltd. Later, in 1998, the company became the exclusive manufacturer in Thailand of high-quality products under the brand names VANITY FAIR, GUY LAROCHE, and ELLE, as well as producing YOUNG WAY lingerie and SPICY KID children’s wear. In 1999, the company began manufacturing BSC lingerie.
International Certifications Achieved
To enhance the efficiency of its operations, the company has implemented internationally recognized quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 9002, as well as the WRAP labor standard—an international standard focusing on social responsibility, occupational health, workplace environment, and employee safety. In addition, the company has received various factory certifications from numerous international clients.
As the company continued to expand its market presence with a strong focus on quality and efficiency, the existing production facilities were no longer sufficient to meet growing market demand. In 2004, the company expanded its operations by opening a new branch in Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province. This expansion reflected the company’s commitment to creating business value, strengthening stability and resilience, and enhancing adaptability to changing environments. These efforts have further increased the company’s competitive capacity and readiness for sustainable growth into the future.
